Coconut oil makes the return to health of the industry in many ways. Although he received a lot of bad rap because of one study that found hydrogenated form is bad for your health, in terms of heart disease and cholesterol, we now know that the hydrogenation of guilty, not just the coconut oil.

In fact, pure coconut oil is very digestible saturated fat, which contains short and medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs), fatty acids that are easily digested by the body than long chain fatty acids. This oil is often used by athletes and body builders and those who have a child. The reason is because coconut oil contains fewer calories than other oils, its fat content can be easily converted into energy and does not lead to accumulation of fat in the heart and arteries. Then there are the health benefits: coconut oil can even help lower cholesterol, keeping blood sugar levels, and restoring thyroid function. When you consume coconut oil, the body converts into monolaurin thelauric acid that is claimed to help in dealing with viruses and bacteria causing diseases such as herpes, influenza, cytomegalovirus, and even HIV. It helps in fighting harmful bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes and heliobacter pylori, and harmful protozoa such as Giardia lamblia.

As a result of these various health benefits of coconut oil, although the exact mechanism of action is unknown, it is extensively used inAiurveda, traditional Indian healing system. Coconut oil is also excellent for the skin, but why is it more interesting. Human skin sebaceous glands produce MCFAs such as those in coconut oil, which destroys certain bacteria, fungi and viruses. While this soap washed away the sebaceous oil, coconut oil can act as a restorative, not only protects the skin, but moisturizer as well and helps prevent scarring and stretch marks. High level MCFAs in coconut oil makes the most stable oil, but despite a longer shelf life than other oils, it should be kept away from sunlight and heat. Of the other oils and fats can become rancid easily, they can have a negative effect on the connective tissue of the skin. Try using coconut oil to moisturize your skin for a great effect on the connective tissue.
